WHERES THE CAMERA?

While I was getting Hailey ready for bed, she was laying on her changing pad.  I was getting ready to put a clean diaper on her along with her jammies, and she started talking to herself in the mirror.  Being the smart mom I am, I stood her up in front of the mirror so she could see herself better.  No sooner than her feet had hit the changing pad, she started to pee.  At first she was a little shocked and curious, but then she thought that it was right funny.  There she stood, laughing at herself .  That is the comic relief that make the hard nights all worth while!  Man, I wish I had had my camera close at hand; it was so funny!  Xax would have been proud!

CLAIM TO FAME

As much as I would love to take credit for our beautiful little girl, I think Xax gets most of the credit for her looks so far.  I did all the hard work so I guess I still get a lot of credit!  Amazingly though, Hailey looks a lot like my nieces and nephews, too.  When I can find some baby pictures of theirs, I will post them, but for now, you be the judge.....

Even down to the uncontrollable, crazy, curly hair, they are pretty much clones.  Its a good thing Xax is so stinkin cute!  Before my Grandma Young passed away, my aunt Jane told her I was pregnant and she said, "Thats nice.  Does she know who the father is?"  She wasn't all there towards the end, and that kind of became the running family joke, but she can rest easy, there is absolutely no denying who her daddy is!  Love you, Grandma, and miss you like crazy.

A GOOD CRY

Last night Hailey had a really rough go of it.  She napped for an hour, which is nothing compared to her usual 4 to 5 hours of naps.  By the time bedtime rolled around, she was so overly tired and she didn't feel good.  She cried and then screamed, then cried and then screamed for 2 hours straight.  After 2 hours, I broke down and sobbed with her, and she stopped crying and looked at me like I was crazy.  Then she got a very serious look on her face, like she was so sorry for making me cry.  We both finished crying, we played for a little while, and then she went to sleep like nothing had happened.  Hailey had a good nights sleep and woke up our happy go lucky baby again!  I got maybe 5 hours of sleep, but it's okay because I have my baby back, and XAX IS COMING HOME TONIGHT!!

Today was a rollercoaster ride, but at the end of the day the only thing that matters is we have a beautiful baby girl who brings such joy and love to our hearts.  With every smile, she brightens our lives.

Hailey hates wearing her jacket, especially when I'm mean enough to make her wear the hood, but lately its been really cold here, and so I've been forced to torture her.  She is usually okay when she gets to cuddle up with her many blankets she gets bundled with, as well!
