A MONTH TO REMEMBER

We found out this past week that we are expecting baby #2 and we are beyond excited! Hailey is still not so sure about having a baby brother or sister quite yet, but I know she really will be the Best Big Sis ever!

While I'm only about 7 weeks along, I've been feeling the symptoms for every bit of three or four weeks, at least.  All the unpleasantness that comes with growing a baby, just with body changes and such.  Things seem to be happening a lot quicker than last time.  I've lost a few pounds but my pants are getting tight through my tummy, which I know sounds crazy, but it's true.

So far this pregnancy is a lot different than Hailey's.  I'm not having heartburn hardly at all, and so far no morning sickness that hasn't been made better by some vitamin B6, ginger ale or crackers.  I would be totally fine with it staying this way! *knock on wood*  My energy is next to nothing, as to be expected, but with three kids most of the day, I don't have much choice but to push through.  Our house is suffering though.  I try to multi-task and clean while I'm tending, but I just can't do it.  I already have "pregnancy brain" really bad, and I'm forgetting things and doing crazy things, but such is life!

We can't wait for this next chapter of our lives to start! This is definitely a month to remember!

BY THE MOUTHS OF BABES

This week has been so long and stressful for me, and despite my efforts to keep it inside, my stress have spilled over a few times.  The latest one was this afternoon.  It had been a long day, Xax had to be to the army extra early and I wasn't feeling well.  Hailey decided to dump powder all over our bathroom again.  I swatted her bum and put her in her bed for timeout and went to cool off for a minute.  When I went to get her, she wanted to go find Xax, who was taking a nap between jobs.  Kind of off-handed, I said, "Yeah, someone still loves you."  She looked at me and said, "Yes, Jesus loves me!" Talk about stopping me cold in my tracks.  I learned a very important lesson today about watching what I say, and being sure I think before I speak, no matter the situation.  Hailey, I LOVE YOU!

2 YEAR PHOTO SHOOT

Nothing like a spur of the moment photo shoot! We got Hailey's hair trimmed and the girl that cut it did it super cute and I knew she'd never hold still long enough for me to do it again, so we headed straight for Kiddie Kandids, and of course they are out of business.  I guess I need to go to the bustling Cache Valley Mall more often.  We called Whimsy Photography and they were able to get us in right away AND it was a lot cheaper than Kiddie Kandids were.  I absolutely fell in love with this studio.  The girl working was excellent and the set up was great.  A 45 minute session, however many pictures we could get in, a free 8X10 and all the copyrights to all the pictures for $79 AND no pressure to buy pictures from them.  We will be going back for all our pictures!  Anyway, here are the results:

FAITH

You know those times in life when things happen and you can find no logical reason or answer? We do all too well in our family for so many different reasons.  It's at those times that we really, truly have to have faith in Heavenly Father that everything will turn out the way they are supposed to and that we will end up where we are meant to be.

Throughout the last several months, we have been debating back and forth about Xax going back to school, and for some reason we keep putting it off.  Today, after finding out he didn't get the job he applied for at Icon, we finally decided that he will be going back to school as soon as we can get grants and accepted into a school.

It's scary and at the same time extremely exciting.  I am so very proud of him and his determination to go back to school and get his nursing degree.  We are about to embark on a new journey and I know without a doubt we will come out better on the other side.  We would appreciate all your prayers and support during this transition in our lives.  It's not going to be easy, but we know that it's the right choice for our family.

PLAYLAND

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

HAILEY AND ME

OUR FORT

Hailey and I built a fort and played in it until bedtime.  Great memories!

PIGTAILS

CHILLIN IN THE FRIDGE

HELPING CLEAN THE KITCHEN

The pictures speak for themselves.  I was doing laundry and cleaning the kitchen a while back, and I came back from switching the laundry to this.  She was so proud of herself, I couldn't help but smile.  Since then, reorganizing the tupperware and plastic bags has become a FAVORITE activity!

CHRISTMAS PARTY

Hailey absolutely loved the manger scene that was set up at my parents ward Christmas party.  She kept coming back to it and standing in front of baby Jesus and just staring.  It was a great reminder of the true meaning of Christmas.  On the other hand, Santa and Mrs. Claus visited the party, and she absolutely hated them.  She wouldn't let Santa even look at her and she threw a fit right there in front of them.  A night to remember for sure!

HOSPITAL

Hailey was loving the hospital room before her procedure, but I was sick to my stomach with worry.  The doctor had to go over all the risks associated with the anesthesia and I was a nervous wreck, but all went well and the doctors and nurses were amazing and she looked so darn cute in her gown, socks and hair net I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures!
