SLEEP

Since Xax works such a crazy weird schedule, and doesn't get to spend a whole lot of time with Hailey, he takes over on the weekends.  This past weekend, he started rocking Hailey to sleep and laying her down before she was totally asleep, and letting her finish the job.  It took all of 3 days, and now she doesn't even want to be rocked.  You give her her binky, her blanket, a kiss and lay her down, and she is out like a light in a matter of seconds.  I know that rocking her to sleep for the last little bit has been more for me, because I really do like that time with her, and I like the excuse to sit and close my eyes for a few minutes without feeling guilty.  I now have to concede that my baby is growing up, and is becoming more self-sufficient, and I no longer get that extra 10 minutes of guiltless shut-eye!

6 MONTHS

Today is Haileys 6 month birthday.  She has been thriving, and growing like a weed, albeit, the cutest weed I've ever seen!  She had her 6 month check-up and shots, along with her first flu shot today.  She weighed in at 18 pounds 6 ounces and is 27 inches long; both in the 90%!  She is truely the best thing to happen to us!  We love our little girl more than I ever thought was possible!

Danika and Kenley are just like my kids.  They love Hailey so much, and Hailey thinks they're great!  They were sisters in heaven!

When Hailey was born, she looked just like me when I was a baby.  That didn't last long.  She is her daddy's little girl.

Not only did Hailey come out with a full head of hair, she has highlights!

Her poor little head was so swollen and cone shaped but it was back to normal the next day.

GRANDMAS

The things a grandma will do for their grandkids!  They waited at the hospital until she was born at 2 in the morning.  Everyone agreed that she was well worth the wait!
